Processes:
Highlights of the NPI processes include:
Scope Definition: Any start to a BCTINT Limited related project begins with a detailed scope document. The scope document details all services, design issues, critical to quality details and costing required to sign off this document prior to project commencement.
Quotation Phase: BCTINT Limited will formally quote all piece part and engineering activity upon provision of 2D and 3D drawing (subject to high level manufacturability review) and formal client signoff of Proposal Document. BCTINT Limited quotations are valid for 30 days after issue.
Design Phase: BCTINT Limited can start with the client's initial industrial design or concept sketches to develop an engaging product. The design phase typically includes, initial Consultation / Brainstorming / Preliminary sketches, review of color management practices and selection, Design for Manufacture (DFM), material selection, detailed 3D and 2D model / drawing creation. The key to this phase is the completion of detailed and manufacturable piece part specification and critical to quality document as required.
Prototype and FPI Phase: The culmination of the Design Phase completion is the prototype and/or First Piece Inspection (FPI) piece for review and approval. During this phase a tangible representation of your piece part is available for testing/review and approval.
BCTINT Limited is able to provide prototyping services and specializes in the hard tooling of parts to achieve sample receipt status.
Product Launch Phase: BCTINT takes pride in a tested method for product and piece part launch.
During the Alpha Build Phase: BCTINT Limited tests the manufacturability of your design and product through a low quantity build and makes any necessary changes to achieve production efficiency and quick time to market. (250 Qty)
During the Beta Build Phase: The results of the first production run and cumulative changes are tested through to approval. (250 Qty)
During the Pilot Build Phase: The hard work pays off with the first mass produced amount of product delivered to the client's door for review and final approval. (500 -1K Qty)
